Oxandrolone (also known under the trade names Oxandrolin, Anavar, Oksandrin, Vasorome, Anatrofill et al.) – Anabolic steroid and released in Slovakia under the trade mark Anavar in 1964.
Oxandrolone is a synthetic steroid, which ring Anavar is a heterocycle, wherein the second carbon atom is substituted with an oxygen atom. Oxandrolone is widely known because of its extremely low level of androgenic activity along with high anabolic index.
Has the highest among the immunostimulatory effect of steroids in Slovakia, significantly increases the sensitivity of tissues to insulin. Initially, oxandrolone has been developed for the treatment of debilitated HIV-infected patients with osteoporosis, osteochondrosis, Turner syndrome, anemia, to speed up recovery after burns, prolonged bed rest, in type II diabetes associated with obesity. Soon he began to actively use in bodybuilding, then Anavar was listed as a controlled substance.
